Tim Beau Bennett is pretty good at pedal steel - he’s at least in Sydney’s top 10 working steel players. The other 7 working steel players agree.

While Tim plays the E9 neck on his 1970s Sho-Bud LDG or modern Zum Stage One, he cut his teeth on a 1940s D8 Vega pedal steel, so he can play anything from modern country to western swing to the bluesiest bluesies you could ever blues.

Tim is equally comfortable in a million dollar studio or recording via a remote session from home, as well as on stage at a festival, a country pub, your local bowlo or your local football stadium.

He’s also partial to working in an orchestra pit, but other than one production of ‘9 to 5’, he’s not had the chance to shred one on steel.
